Kristin Culotta
Kristin Culotta is a stained glass artist based in Camas, Washington. Influenced by Bauhaus, Art Deco, and geometric abstraction, her work emphasizes form, structure, and the inherent qualities of glass. Color, texture, and light are treated as active design elements, resulting in a clean, modern visual language.
Kristin holds a BFA in Fine Art Photography from California State University, Long Beach, with a focus on traditional and experimental black-and-white processes. After beginning her career in photography, she spent more than a decade in the restaurant and hospitality industry, ultimately serving as Director of Food and Beverage Operations for boutique hotel groups including The Standard Hotel and Proper Hospitality.
She began working with stained glass in 2014 and developed an intensive independent practice through close mentorship with the owner of her local glass shop. In 2018, she founded Culotta Creations and soon after left the Southern California concrete jungle for the forests of the Pacific Northwest, where her studio sits tucked among towering trees and surrounding wildlife.
